What a treat my birthday stay at the Baglioni Hotel was. It is located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, right next to Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, and close to lots of well-known London attractions, shopping areas, restaurants and bars. This is perfect for those shopaholics who want to shop until they drop and then relax with a nice glass of wine or those who want to visit a few museums before sitting down for a bite to eat. I decided to relax at the Spa during my stay, which was incredible. I have never felt so relaxed. Naturally, I tested out the gym, which was needed after the amount of fantastic delicious food I consumed at the exquisite onsite Italian restaurant. It is a good job the gym is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, with so much on offer at the hotel. Having a gym that is available to you at all hours of the day is ideal and really worth trying out at any time throughout your stay.

While we are on the subject of food, I have to mention the buffet breakfast. It was in abundance and delicious, just what I needed before another busy day in London. As for the rooms, they all had a flat-screen TV, Illy espresso coffee maker and Della Luna bathroom toiletries, all the things that you need if you want a lazy morning enjoying your luxurious room. My suite had direct views of Hyde Park, which was really nice. As as soon as I finished my breakfast in the restaurant, I fancied a stroll through Hyde Park, making sure that I was back in time to try out the Spa. I then enjoyed a 50-minute all over body massage from a lovely therapist who, I might add, was very friendly and ensured that my treatment was tailor-made for me. It proved a perfect way for me to unwind on my birthday.

Some of the suites come with additional services; so not only do you get the Dellaluna bathroom amenities and a bathrobe, you also enjoy some welcome amenities, a welcome gift, a good night’s gift and a free minibar. These suites are out of this world and really make your stay feel like a home from home, which makes it very easy to rebook for another stay.

Upon check-out time, I was even provided with my own personal driver to take me to London Victoria in a Maserati sports car. This was a very nice touch and a pleasant way to end my superb experience at one of London’s premier 5-star hotels.

This hotel really does have a 5-star luxury feel, with a gym, spa and park in close proximity, it is a perfect way to unwind and visit London. I am very much looking forward to visiting it again soon.
