Billingham Bag

Billingham Bag

Billingham began  in 1973 in England, and instantly became known for their  recognisable camera bags and photographic rucksacks, made in England. Ever the patriot, I was sent the Billingham weekender duffel bag in sensual sage and charming chocolate colours. The design and colours were very smart. First off, it has a  34 litre capacity which is excellent for a short break away. The bag itself is lightweight as it doesn’t even weigh 1kg and it fits cabin baggage dimensions for almost all airlines – say no more. The bag is made with FibreNyte fabric which has the feel of canvas but is a lot harder wearing and waterproof so it is great for all the seasons. The reinforced leather corners increase the durability in those areas that are constantly on the floor or other hard surfaces. Then, inside, there is plenty of room and with a turnover top it is easy to pack in as much as possible. There is a net pocket inside to store smaller items that may need to be found quickly and a handy clip loop for your keys or any other accessories. One of my favourite features of the bag is the detachable adjustable shoulder strap  – it makes the use of the bag more versatile. The hand finished leather handles and brass fittings throughout add to the smart look and make it feel like a gentleman’s bag.

When you buy this bag it includes a removable base pad, shoulder pad and luggage tally, all sweet little touches that you can add or remove depending where you are going. I love this weekender and believe that  if you are looking for a high end good quality travel bag then this is the one for you.
