Joseph Cheaney & Sons

Joseph Cheaney & Sons

For anyone who has not heard of Joseph Cheaney & Sons, firstly – where have you been? Secondly – here’s a little bit about them. Established in 1886 by Joseph Cheaney along with his brother Arthur in their home town of Northamptonshire, for over 80 years they predominantly only made shoes for the finest retailers in the world, but after the decision to make the brand available to everyone they started to supply retailers all over the world. In 1966 Cheaney won the Queen’s Award to Industry and in 2016 the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

History aside, I couldn’t wait to open my parcel, the Harry Tassel Loafer in Black that I chose arrived perfectly packaged in their black box, each shoe beautifully nestled in individual black dust bags. Just stunning, the perfect example of their English elegance and masculine design. Made from finest Calves leather, fully lined and with leather soles handcrafted in Northamptonshire they are completely unique.

I cannot wait to wear these, they will go perfectly with suits and more casual outfits alike.
